I started my blog a few years back when running as a candidate for the LLS Man & Woman of The Year campaign. Since then it’s morphed into a means of updating friends, family, and blog followers about events and happenings in and around the DC area which I’m involved in or which I support. We are so fortunate to live in an area rich with diverse activities to partake in. I also believe that no matter how busy our lives are you always can find time to give back. We have so many great non profits in the area. Please take time to help make the DC area a better place for us all to live! Those who know me well can attest I’m the designated “event coordinator” among our friends. I’ve been nicknamed “Julie McCoy” a title I’ve earned with just cause. And hence the name of my blog. My interests tend to run the gammit of things. I’m always into learning new things, traveling new places, and meeting new people. Life is too short to sit on the sidelines. You can bet that’s the last place you’ll find me. Sometimes I think my friends get dizzy with all my plans. Some day I may slow down…but for now come on out and join me in this great adventure called LIFE!
